Well, this post marks the awakening after several months off. Yes, Lani, I know you've been keeping an eye on me. However, I have good reason. I've just completed my 88th graduate credit hour at Ohio State...in seven quarters while working full-time (which doesn't include my masters and graduate coursework to get my teaching license, but who's counting?). So now that I'm finished whining, I am proud to say that I only have two classes remaining to satisfy my plan of study, with research hours following. It has been a tough couple of years while working full-time and running through this program as if I had someplace to be. I have not been very successful at 'enjoying the journey,' as a beloved mentor of mine has so frequently reminded me to do. I hope to start doing just that very soon. Unfortunately, just because classes end, doesn't mean the finish line is near.
I have narrowed in on my candidacy committee, and am planning to meet with them to determine the method of my exams this coming winter quarter. I will be focusing on the topics of geologic field study, multiple representation, educational technology and the radical constructivism theoretical framework. There is a lot to prep for, so my free time is once again accounted for with literature reviews and pre-candidacy planning. I will continue to blog more and more as this event approaches.
Until then, virtually yours...

Well hi there and congratulations!!!
What good stuff you are learning! Do take some time to appreciate the landscape for you'll not have the opportunity to pass this way again --from one who learned the hard way.
I'm looking forward to your continued blogging!
Best,
Lani
